Fred Shepardson works as a management consultant specializing in the design of computer based decision support systems utilizing mathematical optimization. He was previously Chairman of the International Institute for Self-Determination. Mr. Shepardson has lived and worked in Nepal, teaching at Tribhuvan University, building water systems in remote areas and working in a refugee settlement. Previously he was a professor at the business school at Stanford University and later founder and chairman of Pivotal Research. He received his Ph.D. from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
